Etched Glass

Etched glass is the process of scraping glass to create a decorative design on top of the glass. There are a variety of methods in which etched glass can be achieved. Hydrofluoric acid is used to etch specialized glass with two or more layers of color, as well as engrave designs onto clear glass. Another technique, sandblasting, allows the design to be etched onto the glass, along with self-adhesive vinyl sheets from computer drawn design. Etched glass windows are subtle and gentle to the eye, and bring in beautiful amounts of light.
